Synopsis:
Noel Harper got a second chance at life when the government recruited her as an undercover vampire informant. Since the day they brought her back from the good-as-dead, she has wanted to prove herself worthy.

When a member of her investigative unit is murdered, Noel is paired up with a vampire hunter named Dante to spy on a suspect in Fairbanks. The problem? They’re not the only ones on stakeout. Taking down murderous vampires is one thing. Dealing with the past is another. But this time, Noel isn’t letting fear win. She’s calling in help from the other side and learns a shocking secret along the way.

(STAKEOUT is an Aurora Sky: Vampire Hunter novella told from Noel Harper’s POV. Approximately 40,000 words.)

The saga continues with what was happening with Noel while Aurora was on a mission hunting a vampire family with Jared and Valerie down south!

Personally, I like Noel's personality more than I like Aurora's. Too bad that Fane & Noel are not attracted to one another. Unlike Aurora, Noel isn't uptight or hung up on remaining humans or dating only humans. It's funny how some *coughsJaredcoughsMelchercoughs* are so hung up on eliminating vamps, failing to realize that they all started off as human beings with the same emotions.

In this installment, we learn more about the Noel. Noel's creepy & dangerous to her health father, who is a physician, is one heck of a character! Heaven forbid anyone is unlucky enough to have a dad like this monster. With no one else to turn to, Noel reaches out to Fane for help and Fane being Fane, of course, helps. He's the tall, dark, and handsome hero afterall! And mysterious. Frustratingly mysterious, not just for Noel but for the reader! I'm not going to reveal a thing about the problem or if there is a solution and how it was handled; you need to read this, too! I love the way this tale unfolds and WHEN this novella is taking place. Although you might think it is predictable, it isn't. There are a few surprises for you! I think it will be fun to see how Noel blossoms in future novels; a little more self-confident, stronger, and no longer a mouse. As with the other two, this was a fun read that makes you want more.
